The next NBA Superstars

After watching the USA Basketball showcase, i couldnt help but marvel at Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant. They are both scary good.

Durant can, and does, score from wherever he wants. He can pull up for three at any time, hit the midrange J and get his lanky frame into the lane for easy buckets. He is just unstopable.

As for Rose, he is so quick for his size. Yes, he plays point guard, but few people realize that he stands 6'4 and brings over 200 pounds to the table.  That, combined with an unbelievable first step, gives him a dangerous offensive game. He can already get to the hoop any time he wants. He will truely become a star once he learns how to penetrate and kick to his outside shooters.

Lucikly for both him and Bulls fans, the team picked up two very able shooters in Carlos Boozer and Kyle Korver.

* I still think the Warriors should trade Monta Ellis for Luol Deng. I feel like it would be an even basketball trade,  although Monta is way cooler than Deng. The primary motivation would be to see Ellis run alongside DRose. It would be a dangerous combo, similiar to the BDavis/Ellis combo a couple of years back.

Rose would be the perfect compliment to Ellis defensively as he can defend the 2 guard and they would combine to be the quickest backcourt in the league by a large margin.

As for the Warriors side, it would firmly give the reins of the team to young Stephen Curry, and allow them a more traditional lineup with Curry and Reggie Williams in the backcourt and Deng, Lee and Biedrins in the front court.

Anyways, just a thought. Not neccesarily a trade i would want to make as a warriors fan, but a fun one to consider as a basketball fan, especially with the oppurtunity to pair up rose and ellis.

that would take away the warriors automatic scorer. monta was number 5 or 6 in PPG last year.
